Blue: Color of Calm and Relaxation

Do you want to create a peaceful, calm space and build trust and loyalty?

Blue is the color of trust, honesty, loyalty and responsibility. It promotes both physical and mental relaxation, can reduce stress and creates a sense of calmness, relaxation and order.  It slows down the metabolism.

If you are in a business where your clients visit you regularly, having blue walls or blue décor can help promote trust.  It helps to create inner security and confidence. Studies have shown that people are more productive in blue rooms.

Blue is a communication color and great for public speaking.  It helps us speak the truth and enhances the ability to communicate our needs and wants.

Blue also inspires higher ideals.  It has a spiritual aspect to it and enhances contemplation and prayer.

This color is great for bedrooms where people want ease and peace.  For a calm, relaxing feeling in the bedroom, you might try a softer blue with or without a hint of green in it.  The paler the blue, the more freedom we feel.  Darker blues are better for accent pieces rather than for larger walls or furnishings if relaxation is the intent.

Blue is the most universally liked color, so you can’t go wrong with using it in your wardrobe and in most areas of your home and office.  I recommend keeping it out of the dining and kitchen if possible, unless you counteract it with a high energy color.  Blue serves as an appetite suppressant, and because it slows down your metabolism, you don’t digest your food as quickly in blue rooms.

Blue crystals/stones inherently carry the blue frequency and energy discussed above.  These include Agate, Amazonite, Angelite, Aqua Aura, Aquamarine, Azurite, Quartz, Calcite, Celestine, Chrysocolla, Diamond, Jasper, Kyanite, Lapis Lazuli, Larimar, Moonstone, Onyx, Sapphire, Sodalite, Topaz, Tourmaline, and Turquoise.
