Last year, as I was delving into my spiritual journey as a Past Life Regression Coach, there were signs showing up around me everywhere. I started noticing signs the week before I went to California to complete my Regression training, specifically spider signs. Three days in a row, there were spiders in my home in different areas. While that may not sound like a big deal, it is for my home as I have regular pest control done to keep the creatures out of the house. I had not seen a spider for almost two years. Seeing three separate spiders three days in a row was a big deal, but I didn’t how significant it was until I arrived in California.
As I was sitting at the Sacramento airport waiting for the shuttle to take me to my hotel, I looked down and there was a little brown spider sitting on my chest. That was the fourth spider in four days, and I realized there was something going on with spiders. The next day, I was sitting at the dining table at Denise’s house for lunch when I saw a little movement next to my plate out of the corner of my eye. It was another spider. The following day I was walking to my bedroom in her house and a large spider ran across the hallway in front of me. No one else was having spider experiences.
Having six different days of spiders showing up to me in both Washington and California was not just a coincidence. I finally decided to Google the meaning of spiders to see what message the Universe was delivering to me. What I found out resonated strongly with what was going on in my life at the time.
Spiders were a sign that my higher self was guiding me toward a deep understanding of my place and purpose in this life. Spiders also represent patience, receptivity, feminine energy, creativity, mystery, power, growth, the shadow self, and are the weaver of life’s fate. Spider is a communicator, and writers often have a spider totem. Spiders have eight eyes and eight legs, which relates to the infinity symbol and evolution. They represent high receptivity and creativity and help tune into life’s ebbs and flows and ingeniously weave destiny.
In Native American culture, the spider represents grandmother. This meaning ended up being relevant to me in way I would not have imagined. While in California, one of my classmates was giving me an intuitive reading a couple days after the class started. As she was talking to me, she saw a woman standing next to me that turned out to be my grandmother who had passed away a few years before. The message that my grandmother wanted to share with me was that she was happy that I was on this new path. She indicated that she had been wrong about her religious beliefs in this most recent life as my grandmother. For some background, she had been a Christian that believed in Heaven and Hell. She was pretty close-minded about esoteric spirituality.
Once I acknowledged the spiders and the signs they were showing me, I stopped seeing them every day. They were there to give me a specific message, so once I received it, they didn’t need to be around me anymore.
Recently, as I was writing my book over these last few months, the spiders have been coming to me again. More specifically this happened as I was sitting at my computer working on the book itself. Spiders are my cheerleaders telling me that I am on the right path.
Signs are all around us. We just need to be aware of what the signs are to figure out the message the signs are giving us. This can be an incredibly powerful tool for each of us to use. Before my training, I had some fear and uncertainty about my new path as a Past Life Regression Coach. The spiders and my grandmother showed me that I was actually moving in a direction that my higher self resonated with and that it would all be okay.
My suggestion to those of you reading this is to pay attention to what is going on around you, and if the same animal or numbers or words keep appearing to you, it is a sign from the Universe. You may be surprised by what you find out the message is, or it may confirm what you already know.
