Orange: Color of joy, warmth and comfort

Do you want to have joy, inspiration and expansion in your life?

Orange is a mixture of red and yellow, with all the warmth and comfort of those colors, creating happiness and optimism.  It is the color of adventure and social communication. It uplifts us in a way other colors do not.

Orange relates to our “gut instincts,” as opposed the physical reaction of red and the mental stimulation of yellow.  It helps in the assimilation of new ideas and frees the spirit of limitations. It gives us the freedom to be ourselves.  It helps us overcome grief and bounce back from disappointments.  It also inspires a positive outlook on life and keeps us motivated and looking on the bright side of life.

Orange encourages breaking out of the box and tapping into adventure and risk-taking.  It inspires physical confidence, competition and independence.

Some oranges, such as the color of pumpkins and fall leaves, are appetite and conversation stimulants and good for use in the dining room and kitchen. Orange also helps with creativity, imagination and expansion, so it can be used in an office and craft room. Although it does not have the negative affects of red and yellow, it is probably the most under-used color of our time.

I personally love orange in home furnishings, as it adds friendly warmth that red and yellow are missing.  I love combining it with teal and lime green in my own home.

It is not a coincidence that orange essential oil is known to carry the energy and frequency of the color in it, creating some of the emotions mentioned above.  Orange oil helps with anxiety, calming, uplifting, and bringing in abundance.  It has a sense of humor and is playful, as well as generous, spontaneous, creative, and joyful.

Orange crystals/stones inherently carry the orange frequency and energy discussed above.  These include Agate, Calcite, Carnelian, Creedite, Quartz, Salt Lamp, Selenite, and Soapstone.
